What's on at Daffodil Weekend?

Thriplow Daffodil Weekend & Country Fair is a traditional country fair providing wholesome family entertainment in a beautiful village setting. Our visitors tell us it's the unique Thriplow welcome combined with the lovely village location that keeps them coming back year after year. There's so much to do and see, it's easy to spend the whole day walking around the village entertainments.

Traditional entertainment

 

Children's Thriplow: traditional games with prizes, circus tricks, bungee trampolines, stalls

Country Thriplow: fun dog show and Have-a-go dog agility, Rescue Shetland pony

Open gardens: throughout the village

St George's Church: flower festival, bell ringing, organ recitals, history talks, songs of praise, service of celebration

Tractor rides: around the edge of the village

Dray rides: along School Lane

Train rides: Royston and District Model Engineering Society (RADMES)
run their passenger carrying railway in the playground

Morris dancing: throughout the village

Vintage Thriplow: classic cars, engines and tractors


Live music

 

Folk and pop music at the Taste of Thriplow, The Green Man pub and Cricket Pitch


Refreshments

 

Tea rooms: run entirely by volunteers and serving homemade cakes & tea at Thriplow School and Cricket Pitch

Street food, beer tent and live music: at the Taste of Thriplow
